Sending you lots of strength, stranger on the internet.
Was reading today (The Perfectionist's Guide to Losing Control) that balance doesn't exist. It's a myth. Life always happens. Unforeseen circumstances are the rules, not the exception. We can't fit life on a to-do list, and people who say they can do it (aka hustlers) either lie or are emotionally stunted.
Just a reminder from a fellow stranger: take your time and be kind to yourself.
Feel better soon Marie ❤️ I totally get it, I'm the very same and I have often wondered how people keep spinning the hamster wheel when life is throwing boulders at them. Do what feels right for you, at your own pace. Love & light ✨️
I am writing about how hustling makes me feel unsettled and there is an alternative way to live the life which has its own drawbacks. But trying to live that kind of life is soothing for my drained out soul for now. So I’m embracing the slower version of life right now or as long as it would last. And it’s okay if you didn’t do anything for the past few days. Things that matter and people who know you will wait for you no matter what.
Thank you for your honesty. Vulnerability is so hard for people today. It’s encouraging to see a healthy example as I seek to become more vulnerable in my writings as well.
Marie, I'm sorry you have had it rough lately. Like you said, living in the present is a good goal. It might lift the burden of all you are going through. Just take your time and take care of yourself -- Substack readers aren't going anywhere. Sending virtual hugs.
So sorry to read that life is not treating you well these last few weeks. Ive only been reading your stuff for a while but you seem like such a lovely genuine person and I hope things improve for you soon. Take care, and don't forget it's ok to take a step back and take things easy for a bit. 💖
Sorry to hear this Marie, but know you're not alone, and I for one can resonate.
Take your time, and only write and share what and when feels right. 💛
This comment section is why I love Substack 🧡
Wholesome and supportive.
Thank you for sharing, and I agree - wholesome and supportive is a good way to describe the ethos here :)

You're generating a bigger audience than me and I've been writing for almost 18 months as well on Substack. So, good job.
18 months? Holy cow.
Keep going, Joshua 💪🏻
thanks.
sending you hugs, Marie - things do eventually get better
Love you Marie
